Dakotafest Women's Brunch & Vendor Fair

The Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to the Dakotafest Women's Brunch and, new addition this year, vendor fair! The "Bloom Where You're Planted" Women's Brunch and Vendor Fair will be held on Wednesday, August 18, during Dakotafest week at the Highland Conference Center.

The day will kick off with the vendor fair at 9 a.m., with the brunch beginning at 10 a.m. The brunch will finish around Noon and the vendor fair portion will finish around 1 p.m., giving you plenty of time to shop from local vendors!

Women's Brunch is designed to give you the opportunity to connect with other women, network, enjoy a wonderful brunch and hear from motivational speaker Jade Delaney. This year's theme is "Bloom Where You're Planted."

Jade was raised on meat and potatoes and taught early on that relationships matter. She believes in the power of creativity and wraps herself up in projects that most would view as far-fetched. Competition is in her blood and motivates her every day. She tells bad jokes, laughs at her own stories and drinks too much coffee. She is a proud wife and mother of two handsome boys.

Topic Summary:
Throughout Jade's life, a recurring theme has emerged. From that time she was born second, to the hundreds of times she's heard, "you've been selected as a finalist," but never actually selected as the winner. Despite being told no every day, multiple times a day, she discovered her secret power of resiliency. It is through this resiliency that she found success as a fearless leader in her personal and professional life, leading her to her dream job and helping her to land crazy experiences like appearing on the CNBC show, Deal or No Deal.

Resiliency is a powerful tool that we all need today. After a year of uncertainty, continued health and safety concerns, financial stressors as well as the consistent need to manage fears around us, we all need some positivity and joy to list us up. Through this presentation, Jade will challenge attendees to seek clarity for their lives, helping each person to rediscover and refuel their own fire within.
